Freshly ground coffee makes all the difference when brewing the perfect cup! Just like professional-grade coffee grinders, Bodum's Antigua electric coffee grinder features a conical burr grinder that cuts the coffee beans rather than crushing them, preventing the coffee from losing its characteristic taste and aroma. By simply twisting the Antigua's bean container, the grind settings can be adjusted from a coarse French Press setting to a fine ground for espresso, or any setting in between depending on the brewing method or personal taste. In addition, the Antigua can be used to grind any type of roast, from the oily espressos to lighter and dryer roasts.

The Antigua also offers various other user-friendly features and improvements over the previous model. The unit is unlikely to clog with coffee grinds provided that the ground coffee container is emptied after each 40-second grinding cycle. The timer and quantity/control feature allows users to grind up to 2.8oz/80gr of coarse ground coffee and up to 1.4oz/40gr of fine ground coffee. The ground coffee container is sealed off with a lid (metal version only) preventing the ground coffee from escaping out and causing a mess, a common occurrence in many grinders. A hole in the lid allows for pouring the ground coffee directly into a French press or any other coffee or espresso maker.
